Megan Gale
Gale took part in a modeling contest in Perth at the age of 18. After many years of modeling, Gale rose to fame when she was commissioned in 1999 for a role in a set of advertisements for an Italian Telecommunications firm, Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy); she appeared in the commercials of the company from 1999 to 2006.She was also commissioned as a model by the Australian Tourist Commission in 2003 to be their 'face of Australia to Italy'. Gale has appeared on the cover of Australian Marie Claire, Grazia, Gioia, Italian and Australian GQ, Italian Maxim, Australian InStyle and featured in editorials of Australian Cosmopolitan and Vogue Italia. Gale has collaborated with Italian designers like Gianfranco Fere, Genny And Gai Mattiolo as well as during the show runways for Mariella Burani, Angelo Marani, and Milan Fashion Week. Gale is a fan of many Australian fashion designers, including Colette Dinnigan Kirrily Johnsonston Lisa Ho and Alex Perry. The year 2006 was the last time she was the fashion commentator for the Australian television awards, the Logies. In January 2008, Gale announced her retirement from runway modeling after 15 years. She took to the catwalk for the final moment a few days later in a David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. For her last look she donned Wonder Woman's costume from her Justice League of America movie which was never made. Gale ended Alex Perry's Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011 show in March of 2011.
